Plenary 7

Generation Energy: Opportunities for Canada and BC

Generation Energy defines how Canada can meet climate goals, create jobs and keep energy affordable

In the works since 2017, Generation Energy is a report formed around a national dialogue about Canada’s low-carbon energy future. The three main themes to be explored are “Our Energy Future Plan,” “Innovating Fact-Based Decisions” and “Clean and Affordable Energy.” British Columbia has shown its ability to create a decarbonized electricity grid and will continue to push for a province that is in line with Generation Energy’s goals and priorities.

Join BC’s Deputy Minister of Energy, Dave Nikolejsin, to discover what Generation Energy means for British Columbia. Leading the discussion of the report’s findings will be Generation Energy Council co-chair Merran Smith and council member Colleen Giroux-Schmidt.
