Knight Piésold is sought after for its renewable energy expertise across British Columbia, throughout Canada, and around the world. Knight Piésold engineered its first hydroelectric project in 1926 and has since been actively identifying and developing award-winning, small- to large-scale hydroelectric and other renewable energy projects.
Services include resource identification and evaluation, concept development, system planning, financial analysis, feasibility studies, environmental assessments, permitting, detailed design, construction supervision, and commissioning.
Knight Piésold has been recognized with awards of merit and excellence at provincial and national levels for the Capilano Break Head Tank and Energy Recovery Facility, Kokish River Hydroelectric Project, East Toba and Montrose Hydroelectric Project, Upper Stave Hydroelectric Project, and McNair Creek Hydroelectric Project. In 2017, Knight Piésold received a Tree for Life Award and an Award of Excellence at the Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards and an Award of Merit at ACEC-BC’s Awards for Engineering Excellence.
